Garuda Indonesia recently received a Skytrax Award for “The World’s Best Cabin Crew” at the awards ceremony held at the Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom on July 12, making this the third consecutive time that the airline had bagged the award. The award was received on behalf of the airline by Garuda Indonesia’s CEO, Mr Arif Wibowo.
The selection of Garuda Indonesia as “The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2016” is based on widespread “customer satisfaction surveys” conducted by Skytrax between August 2015 and May 2016 involving more than 19 million passengers from more than 104 countries. Participants who evaluated the airlines reviewed the performance of some 280 airlines across 41 areas of product presentation and service. Seeking to improve its standing over the coming year, Garuda Indonesia will accept delivery of 17 new aircraft in 2016 comprised of four Airbus A330-300, four ATR72-600 and eight Airbus-320 for Citilink.
Wibowo expressed thanks to staff, management and cabin crew of Garuda Indonesia for their dedication and commitment. Wibowo also said, “Garuda Indonesia also extends its great thanks to all who use its services for the support and trust they have placed in Garuda. This award represents a challenge and a new inspiration for all of us to give the best service we can.”
By the end of 2016, Garuda Indonesia Group will operate an armada of 197 airplanes with 144 planes operated by Garuda Indonesia and 53 plans by Citilink.
