Indonesia’s property and construction sector is set to strengthen this year, after falling behind last year, according to PT KGI Securities Indonesia. The firm’s Senior Researcher, Yuganur Wijanarko wrote in his research, “The property and construction sector will rise in 2017.”

This is due to plenty of positive catalysts that favor the sectors' performance, which is good considering they are the holding of other sub-sectors such as cement and steel, said Yuganur.

He also said that based on observation, the risk of price declines for construction and property stocks are becoming more limited. "Construction is the motor to build Indonesia's infrastructure in a bid to reach the same levels of other industrialized countries in Asia and the world," said Yuganur.
